Facing Adana ASKİ for the road game on Gameday 25 of Turkish Women’s Basketball League, Near East University defeated their rival 76-83 in the overtime as the score tied to 71-71 at the end of the final quarter. With this win, Near East University has made it 21-2 and secured their leading position in the league with 44 points. Near East University has the points difference average for the last game on Gameday 26 of the league.

According to the press info released by Near East University Sports Club, the 25th week of Turkish Women’s Basketball League was the scene of a thrilling game between Adana ASKİ and Near East University. The game lived up to the expectations when the two teams clashed at Adana, Atatürk Sport Saloon on Saturday. It was a perfect day for Near East University as they clung on to 76-83 win on their rival floor. Starting the game with Sandrine Gruda, Courtney Vandersloot, Bahar Çağlar, Quanitra Hollingsworth and Olcay Çakır Turgut, Near East University led the three quarters by 15-21, 27-35 and 48-57.

In the final quarter, the players of Adana ASKİ exerted great effort and achieved to make up the deficit in their game against Near East University. The game ended with a tied score 71-71.

In the overtime period, both teams tried to grasp and get the game. However, the versatile players of Near East University choked off any further indoors from ASKİ and didn’t allow their opponent to net more than 5 points while Kayla McBride, Bahar Çağlar and Olcay Çakır Turgut weighted in collectively by 12 points.
