Near East University Women’s Basketball Team renewed the contract with Swedish player Elin Eldebrink who had great contribution in crowning the Near East University with three championships in the previous regular basketball season.

In the press release delivered by the Near East University Sports Club, it was announced that the contract with 1988 born and 1.70m tall Swedish guard Elin Eldebrink had been extended for another year.

Elin Eldebrink takes places amongst the most notable guards of the women’s basketball and stands out with her strong physics, top guard fundamentality and high shot percentage. As a striking guard of the Swedish National Team, she averaged 7.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in Euro Basket 2017. In 2016-2017 regular season, she played with an average of 7.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League, and an average of 8.5 points, 2.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in the FIBA EuroCup Women. 29 year old guard Eldebrink has experience in Euroleague as well. Elin Eldebrink, who is also a member of the Swedish National team, played in leagues of France and Belgium in previous years. She had great contribution in crowning the Near East University as the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League champion, Turkey Cup champion, and FIBA EuroCup Women champion in their rookie season.
