Near East University Women’s Basketball Team member Kayla McBride, who is a registered on Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA), has been called to participate in the National Basketball Team of America.

According to press release issued by the Near East University Sports Club, NEU Women’s Basketball Team Member Kayla McBride has been called to take part in the provisional national team of America later to compete in the World Women’s Basketball Championship in Spain 2018.

It was pointed out that Kayla McBride was invited to join the provisional national basketball team of America by Head Coach of the USA Women’s National Basketball Team Clark Heard, and that McBride would be joining the training camp during mid September.

Kayla McBride has played a significant role in the achievements of Near East University Women’s Basketball Team; winning a cup in Super League of Turkey, Federation Cup of Turkey and EuroCup.

She will not be wearing a uniform during the preparation tournaments…

Furthermore, it was expressed that the star basketball player Kayla McBride would not be taking part neither in the International Dr. Suat Günsel Championship to be held on 14-17 September 2017 nor in the Adana ASKİ preparation tournament which Near East University Women’s Basketball Team will also be taking part in.

She will be taking part in the Super Cup…

Subsequent to Kayla McBride’s training camp of the USA National Team, she will be taking part in the match to be played between EuroCUp Champion Near East University Women’s Basketball Team and Euro League Champion Dynamo Kursk on 5th October 2017.

Providing his views on the matter, Head Coach of the Near East University Women’s Basketball Team Zafer Kalaycıoğlu expressed that transferring Kayla McBride to their team was a well-made decision and that this was evident in her being called to take part in the USA National Team.

Kayla McBride scored 31 points while her team San Antonio Silverstars played a game against New York Knicks and broke 2017 career record in WNBA. Additionally McBride scored 28 points 11 rebounds during the last 38 minutes left to the end of the game played against Indiana.
